Zeva Care

OCD evaluation in Pennsylvania

Dr. Nitin Sheth, MD
Psychiatrist

If intrusive thoughts, rituals, or checking have been taking time you do not have — for you or for your child — you don't need OCD already named before you book. Sorting that out is part of what a first visit is for.

Visits are by secure video for Pennsylvania residents, usually within days.

How it can show up.

Unwanted thoughts that keep coming back. Repeating actions, checking, counting, or seeking reassurance to make the thought quiet down. Hours lost to getting something to feel "right."

Some of this is private. People can look composed at work or school and still be spending the evening undoing the day.

Not the same as being tidy.

Liking order is not OCD. The difference is distress, and how much of the day gets spent neutralizing a thought.

A visit.

OCD can overlap with anxiety, depression, and ADHD. A visit is where that gets sorted out.

When OCD-focused therapy is part of care, notes go to that therapist when you ask.

Anxiety, depression, and ADHD are treated here too — see everything we treat.

Do I need an existing OCD diagnosis to book?

No. People book both for a first evaluation and to continue medication management after prior care. Whether OCD is diagnosed, and what treatment is appropriate, is decided in a visit — not by this page. Zeva Care does not provide exposure and response prevention therapy; that work stays with a therapist when it is part of care.
